This workshop has been organized by the Center for Innovation & Technology and ASCI (Administrative Staff College of India), through the support from the Technology Management Division (TMD), Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India (GoI).
The purpose of this work shop was to identify and discuss issues of interest and concern, bottlenecks, felt needs and unmet gaps, and possible alternatives and solutions that have an impact on the inorganic growth of the wine industry in India.
The students worked on this subject, collected information from vine growers, wineries, analysed information from Mahawine International Conference and Exposition 2008. With a delegation of four people, Gargi Agriculture Research And Training Institute (GARTI) actively participated to this workshop. Two students did a power point presentation were involved in the discussion. It was a great opportunity to learn and to understand the wine industry organization in India.
